Each year at the BOP regional Easter Camp we focus on something different whether it be evangelism, community or mission.
This year we will focus on Evangelism, Spreading the Good News.
"What good news?"
Good question...is it that Slingshot offers really cheap internet? Or that Brad and Angelina are reuniting ...again? Or is it that Jesus died on a cross?
Well none of that actually...
1Corinthians 1:23-24 "But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness.
But to them, the called-out ones, both Jews and Greeks, Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God"
So preaching Jesus' death is the power and wisdom of God but the Good News is that Jesus didn't stay dead!
1Peter 1:3 "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who according to His great mercy has regenerated us again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead"
Death then has no power over us and what we have to look forward to is an eternal life together with our Saviour...
